My presidential campaign is about:
- Breaking the chains of dependency and corruption
- Building a self-reliant Sierra Leone powered by its people
- Investing in education, health care, agriculture, and sustainable infrastructure
- Opening the doors for Black people across the world to return and build with us
- Uniting with African nations to demand fair trade, peace, and shared progress
This is our time. The time to rise, to lead, and to win—together.
Why I Am Running
Sierra Leone stands at a crossroads. For too long, our people have endured hardship while living in a country rich with natural and human potential. We face crises in healthcare, education, infrastructure, and employment. Our youth, who should be the hope of tomorrow, struggle with joblessness, lack of opportunities, and despair. Women and children continue to be marginalized, while millions of Sierra Leoneans in the diaspora remain excluded from shaping the destiny of their homeland.
I am running because I believe Sierra Leone can rise again. With the right leadership, we can turn our challenges into opportunities. Our energy potential, fertile lands, cultural strength, and strategic position in West Africa can make us a model of development. I am not running for power; I am running to serve. I am running to bring hope, dignity, and prosperity to every Sierra Leonean.
My Experience
I bring over two decades of leadership and service, both in Sierra Leone and the United States. My journey began in community organizing and continued into government, nonprofit leadership, and international advocacy.
- Government Service in the U.S. – Senior staff member for NYC Council Members: Leroy Comrie and I. Daneek Miller, and later for the Public Advocate Jumaane Williams. These roles gave me firsthand experience in policymaking, budgeting, and community advocacy.
- Nonprofit Leadership – Chief Operating Officer and Director of Government & Community Affairs for LIFE Camp, Inc., working on violence prevention, youth empowerment, and community development.
- Community Leadership in Queens, New York – Served for over 20 years on Community Board 12, chairing the Parks Committee and fighting for equity in park funding and resources.
- Experience in Sierra Leone – Supported APC campaigns, organized Ebola and COVID-19 international responses, and advocated for reforms.
Why I Am the Best Candidate
What sets me apart is not just my vision, but my life experience and proven record of service. I know what it means to build from the ground up, to fight for resources, and to stand with the people.
- Addressing National Crises – From healthcare and education to energy and agriculture, I understand the urgent issues facing Sierra Leone. I will prioritize hydropower investment, agricultural reform, infrastructure modernization, rehabilitation centers, and duty-free ports for essential goods.
- Championing Inclusion – I will ensure that women, children, people with disabilities, and diaspora communities are included in Sierra Leone’s future. My leadership will end the marginalization that has held our nation back.
- Regional and Global Vision – By creating commercial corridors with neighboring countries and building stronger partnerships with African Americans and the diaspora, Sierra Leone will be positioned as a leader in Africa’s rise.
- Building a Just Society – I believe in reforming prisons into centers of learning and productivity, ending harmful practices like FGM, and creating opportunities in technology, entertainment, and trade that will engage our youth.
I am not a career politician. I am a son of Sierra Leone who has served communities abroad and at home. I bring integrity, experience, and a commitment to unity. My candidacy is rooted in the belief that Sierra Leone belongs to all of us, and together we can build a nation that is prosperous, just, and respected.
